The sculpture “Cityscape” combines bronze and stone; the texture serves as a single background and simultaneously a symbol of the urban landscape. The outlines of buildings and human figures are stylised and made in bronze. The people in the sculpture are depicted in their own, each in their life’s troubles. There is no reference to a specific area or era but rather an attempt to create a sculptural image of the town through simple stylised forms and symbols. In this work, the sculptor seems to imitate a painter who captured a moment in the everyday life of people in the city.
