Among Kapshuchenko’s works, there is a small number of porcelain sculptures. For a certain period, the sculptor experimented with a technique that was new to him. Working with porcelain requires special skills, knowledge, and equipment. The sculptor enjoyed taking on challenges:  “I became interested in porcelain because it is a complex technique. It changed the stereotypical appreciation of my work. I wondered if I could think about porcelain products in a non-factory environment, with only my kiln, hands and no equipment”. Due to the specifics of the technique, the master’s porcelain works are somewhat more schematic. The collection includes a small sculpture titled “Sarny.” One of the animals is peacefully grazing while the other is listening anxiously – even here, the sculptor managed to capture the piece’s mood. The delicate forms of the work, the refined and graceful roe deer, and the cohesive composition are captivating and resemble more a jeweller’s creation than the sculptor’s.
